A Path Through the Woods

We all know that feeling of wandering a woodland path on a summer's day when it is a mysterious emerald green within the wood with the slanting light coming through in places.

An original drawing by local artist Mark Brighton. Mark often uses coloured pencils to get the wonderful level of detail he achieves in his art. Coloured pencil on paper, it is framed with an oak frame and a slightly off white mount.

Mark Brighton grew up in the Peak District and after many years of living in London has returned to the area and enjoys immersing himself in the landscape, in particular the woodland surrounding Buxton, where he walks everyday. Mark is influenced by the natural world and it's forms as well as an abiding interest in geometric forms and the complex patterns you can find in tile work.

Dimensions: Including the frame approximately 41cm x 35cm, the image itself is 24cm x 18cm.
